This print is a reproduction from Carol Ann Duffy’s wonderful fairytale “The Princess’ Blankets” published by Templar. It is the first book I illustrated and I was given a lot of freedom to respond to the text in any way I chose. Each painting is a complete work in itself but together they move from hot and claustrophobic to cool bleakness and then back to warmth and love.
