The woods are lovely, dark and deep

This painting was inspired by Robert Frost’s iconic poem “Stopping by woods on a snowy evening”.

I have always loved the mystery of this poem and many people have illustrated or interpreted it.  I wanted to place a different take on it with the viewer is within the woods looking out at the passer by.
