ABOUT THE PRINTS

I have been producing my own prints and cards for over thirty years, believing passionately that my images should exist beyond the original painting.
Because I control every stage, from photographing the painting to the final print they are not a lesser version of the original, but a different one. These are not mass-produced reproductions; they are archival, museum-quality works made slowly, with care. Each print is titled, signed and numbered beneath the image and printed individually to order, by the artist who painted them.
Why collect a print?
My prints carry the same narrative as the original painting, the same luminous quality, the same invitation to look and keep looking, and are at a price that makes collecting accessible.
Many collectors begin with a single favourite — a hare glimpsed at dusk, an owl calling through winter trees — and find themselves returning for more. Each print is an invitation to build a collection that is entirely your own, a gathering of images that speak to you across seasons and years.
‘There is a unique texture to your work, and also a certain luminescence which comes out so well, even as prints. Often, I sense that some of the magic is lost when prints are made, but it is not so with your work — the magic remains.’— Jenny, collector
‘I have a large collection of Catherine’s prints in my cottage. She captures the quiet magic of nature throughout the changing seasons in such an ethereal way, bringing to life the flora and fauna that surround our home.’— Holly, Sussex
The Process
Each print begins with the original painting which I photograph carefully in the studio to capture the many layers of paint, mica flake and leaf. The image file is then edited in Lightroom to bring out the colour, detail and textures. When I am satisfied that it is ready, I use a heavyweight fine art paper with a softly textured surface and print it on my large format printer. This huge printer - the Epson p7500 takes up a lot of space in our home but enables me to print up to 24 inches wide and its 12 colour system of pigmented inks gives an archival-grade lightfastness lasting up to 200 years.
Packaging
Every print is sent flat, carefully wrapped and packed to arrive in perfect condition, ready to frame and hang.
