The murmuration rises and turns as one — thousands of starlings writing their wild grammar across the autumn sky. There is something deeply homecoming about this image, and something restless too: the gathering before winter, the last great wildness of the year before the cold settles in. 

The original painting is acrylic on canvas with mica and copper leaf, the surface catching light as the birds themselves do — shifting, iridescent, never quite still.
