THE GOLDEN FLIGHT OF SWANS print

Inspired by a sighting of a flock of swans flying overhead in the early evening — the river below catching the last of the light, the swans themselves turned gold.

This is a painting about the wonder of that encounter, the world briefly transformed by the quality of the light, and the sound of their wings filling the air.

The copper leaf in the original painting holds the warmth of that evening light within the surface.
