Late August, and the light is beginning to change. Over the reed beds at Church Cove in Cornwall, an owl moves silently in the evening air.
This small, richly atmospheric original painting captures the warmth still held in the reeds, the first hint of autumn in the deepening sky, copper and mica catching the last of the light.
